Folks,
We're in the final stretch toward the convention! Now that we've
sent schedules out to the panelists, we're up to our ears in email.
We've got two tasks that we need to get done by New Year's that we
could use help with.
First, not all of the participants have bios in Zambia this year.
Some of them may have tried to enter one but forgotten to hit
'update', others probably missed the blank, and still others may be
assuming that we'll reuse their bio from last year.
We'd love it if someone could go through the people with blank bios
and see if that person had submitted a bio last year; if so, email it
to them and ask if we should reuse it, and if not, email them to ask
them to please submit a bio in Zambia AND CLICK SUBMIT. Is someone
willing to take this on?
Second, we could use one more pass (or two more passes) over all of
the panel descriptions to make sure they're all grammatically correct
and reasonably engaging. Anyone who's up for it, please dive in; you
can leave notes in the Notes for Programming field to say which ones
you've edited and when.
We really appreciate the help with making our output to Publications
cleaner, and with making sure people get appropriately credited in
the program book.
Thanks very much,
Jack
