Notes from last night's meeting.

The meeting divided roughly into two halves -- the first half was about what
priorities we had, some issues and concerns people had, program
changes/additions and what would happen next Saturday at the programming
meeting.

The second half was all about doing things in Zambia and inviting people on
program-staff to help us deal with the program mail. If you missed the
meeting but you are willing to spend a little bit of time each week between
now and the con dealing with programming email, please get back to me and
I'll cover the details of that part.

Notes:
The people at this meeting thought 2-6 would be better scheduling for
Saturday.

Fast Track has a bunch of scheduling constraints and Persis won't be
available for the scheduling meetings. Fast Track brain dump:
priorities: Hilary build a dragon panel. 7 to 9pm Friday We need to do
advance publicity on this so people don't miss it because it's early in the
con. Needs a bigger room than a hotel room, perhaps half of Cambridge.

Esther is going to do a reading for FT

Luke Ski is going to do a concert for FT, that's Sunday

Kamikaze costuming is OK across from the masq rehearsal 10 -12 Sat morning.
If at all possible, a bigger space to spread out and work, half of Cambridge
would be ideal (no promises... we'll try).

higgins in FT has a ceiling height issue.

FT needs costumers for So This is the Green Room and "I'm Alive" -- don't
schedule these across from masq rehearsal?

Self defense for teens - NOT in the morning, they're not awake then. Not
Joe Ross.

MythQuest Entertainment doing sword play and the like -- they sell
commercial kids entertainment services, make sure they are not just doing a
sales job. Persis is on top of this.

Other priority panels;
SF movie year in review

BloodBowl is our big commitment in gaming. They have a room all day
Sunday. Space assigned for now rather arbitrarily, may be moved to another
location. One of SJG's MIB wants to run a 6 -10 pm demo in the gaming room.

LJ Meet and Greet this needs a facilitator. We are going to get hotel food
for it.

Radio play folks want to do a panel around their performance Sunday
afternoon. Ideally immediately following in pres D.

"the" poly panel

Ctan's reading and the circlet press party need to be confirmed. We haven't
heard from Cecilia.

Lots of people want to be on psychology of geekiness

Harry Potter is still popular

We want an LJ panel in addition to the meet and greet.

our big science panel is 'The Colder Side of Global Warming' molly pitcher
should work for that

Filk:
ideally we will schedule Filk 101, NESFA Hymnal Sing? , 2 or 3 theme
circles. Schedule 2 back-to-back sometime on Saturday.
Filkers are mostly not in Zambia, Ellen will take cre of this.

People we need to contact and make sure they're coming:
Filkers -- through Ellen
Cecilia Tan
FT people especially costumers -- Persis will poke them
Allen Steele is coming and is in Zambia
Johnna Klukas
Victor Raymond? Is he coming?
Jennifer Yu
Garen Daly not in Zambia -- ask Dan to get in touch and find out if he's
attending.

New items:
We have a handful of new items to add to Zambia in the New Items track that
Tracy is going to add in;
for now, they'll be in I don't know track so we can move 'em over fast.

specific LJ topics
in memoriam Jack Williamson
in memoriam Dave Cockrum
v for vendetta media programming item

there's also some additional items to add to Zambia that are not quite as
time critical since they don't need
to get to participants:
yoga at Arisia
Northern Lights Costume Guild open meeting
more, that's all I recall right now.

Zambia how-tos discussed. those are not well represented in my notes, not
surprisingly
There are outstanding Zambia issues, Rachel is conferring with Tracy for how
to solve.
Reminder email to program participants will go out during this week, perhaps
as early as Tuesday.

Using the 07programs at gmail.com account to manage programming email
discussed. If you need a recap of that information, contact Rachel or Tem
or Jack.
