"Why on earth does Publications need a ribbon?" is my suggestion.
But seriously; does the staff of publications need a ribbon? Should
we consider saving a little coin for the greater good? It's not like
we'll set attendance records this year, so we ought to expect our
revenues will be down. Besides that, we'll be in a small hotel (in
fact, the same Hilton) next year, so our attendance won't bulk up
again. We can expect our revenues to be down for the next two years
as a result.
My suggestion is to carefully examine the need for anyone below the
level of divhead to have a ribbon. If people need an identifier, we
should explore more cost effective (indeed: cost neutral) alternatives.
