DEAR BENJI ... dear dearest Benji!
As the one who was thinking, "Oh, geez, that's a good idea, but I don't want
to be the one putting that together." I THANK you from the bottom of my
heart.
YES, as the one tasked at a meeting to worry about the elevators, I would
adore it if you'd work on the signs for the staircases. SO, take on this task.
But, I will be sure to have day volunteers ready and able to put the signs
up on Friday, so you don't have to do that. However, any guidance about
certain floors that signs should be on will be welcomed.

I like this idea! Perhaps we could also do funny signs like the old
Burmashave highway signs[1], maybe one sign per floor or a sign every four
risers (so for each flight of stairs there is a complete slogan).
Putting my money where my mouth is, I'm not sure I can come up with an
entire hotels worth of witty sayings, but I'm willing to collect
suggestions in addition to my own ideas, pick the best ones (IMO, subject
to some oversight by "senior management"), coordinate with the sign shop
for printing, and get the signs deployed in the hotel (this may need to
get done by a gopher or some of my minions, depending upon my work
schedule and general availability).
