 If we have a nice solid proposal, I guess it can be under the umbrella of
Events Division.  But I think it should still have an ongoing component for
those who can't make the 'main climb'.  Events is also going to have a few
expenses that might limit what kind of 'goodies' beyond ribbons we can hand
out to those who take part, unless we want to put these expenses in some
other place in the budget.  And if we want any info in the Pocket Program,
details of the Climb need to be worked out now.

So just to clarify, and since there has been no official response on
this yet, the event/program I am proposing would not involve segregating
people by speed nor numbering or timing them.  There would be no prize
for finishing first, just the ribbon prize for finishing, period.

I'd love to hear *something* from the Powers That Be since I'm being
poked by divheads about my schedule.   I still think this would be a
great event.
