This message is addressed to anyone who earned a volunteer shirt at
Arisia.
It has come to management's attention that a number of Arisians of the
male persuasion took volunteer shirts intended for women.
In case you were not aware of it, we ordered a small number of "ladies
tees" as part of the batch of volunteer tshirts (17 out of 265 total). Baby
Doll style was actually requested, but the best our vendor could do
(without breaking the budget) was get tshirts in a ladies style.
For those male geeks who may not be familiar with the female form
these shirts are tapered (a bit wider up top and narrower towards the
waist), the neck opening is wider to emphasize shoulder bones and
dips down a bit towards the cleavage, plus the sleeve is higher and
smaller (again to emphasize the arms).
(And if the above doesn't make sense, they are from a different
manufacturer. The regular tees were "Fruit of the Loom", the ladies
tees have a "Gilden" label on them. Both were 100 percent cotton.)
Now... if you are a boy-fan and took a girls shirt on purpose... well, I'm
kinda cool with that... but I DON'T WANT TO KNOW... really... And I
especially don't want to know why...
But... if you are a boy-fan and ended up with a girls shirt by accident
then we'll let you exchange it. And we promise to keep your name a
secret even. Just let me know by email or see Mary at the debrief.
(All exchanged shirts must be clean!)
And Ladies, there are still a few of the ladies tees left (two smalls and
three XL's). If you want them and have a regular shirt we'll do an
exchange for you as well.
/Skip
