[ST] [CP] Arisia going to 4 days

There are some things that would be *easier* with a 4-day con.

Newsletter: The Sunday issue could actually come out Sunday morning. Then
the color & awards issue in the afternoon. Monday issue optional.

Art Show: Bidding on art could continue until 2pm Sunday, with sales &
artists check-out ending at 6pm. With quick-sale, people don't have to wait
around for the auction & sales any more if they can't stay. The art show can
be on the truck by 8pm.

Dealers: The room can close at 5pm or 6pm Sunday. Dealers can take their
time packing up, so long as their out by morning. The next day, that room
can be used for some other purpose, such as a big fast track item. Dealers
row could continue or not, as the dealers prefer.

Food items (Staff Den, Green Room, Consuite): use up leftovers, and switch
to room-temperature items, snack foods, paper goods, and the like. We always
overbuy anyway.

Events: There are several low-tech events: Higgins, drum circle, regency
dance, and belly dancing, for example. Beyond a few small things, tech can
be on the truck by 8pm Sunday.

Gaming/LARPs: They don't have much stuff, and will happily continue until we
shut off the lights.

Logistics: We already make two runs. There can be a run early Sunday morning
or late Saturday evening (at 8pm, with art show & tech). The second run can
be Monday evening, when people who have had to work their real job Monday
can come by & help.

Massage Den: They would probably get more people done.

Parties: We should encourage a large party or two for Sunday evening, to
help people stay, and to replace the current Dead Dog.

Program: Most panels are "talking heads," and can be shifted around. Program
can end at 3 or 4pm.

Video/Anime/TV: I believe we can leave one of these running, preferably the
one with the lowest equipment usage--probably ArisiaTV, since it doesn't
involve a screen. Or we can use one of the hotel's screens on Monday; some
of the rooms have one built-in.

Volunteers: My worldcon experience has shown that there's an *influx* of
volunteers toward the end of the con. People have seen everything, and want
to pay the con back for a good time. This is more likely to occur the longer
the con goes on. I would suggest upping the hours required to get a rollover
membership; this would encourage those people who work 'just enough' (and
there's many of them) to work a bit more. (Say, from 12 hours to 16 hours.)

In short, I think it's an experiment that's worth a try.
