And my room wasn't ready until 5PM on Friday. At least they wouldn't let
me into it until then. I tried to check in at 1PM and they told me to
come back at 3. At 3 they let me check in, but wouldn't give me a key
telling me that the room was not ready. I got back down at 5PM and they
gave me the key.

Luckily I didn't have any luggage with me at that point, my luggage came
in later when Gunther got there.
