[ST] Klingon advice column?!?

Ever wonder what kind of advice Worf would give to a lovelorn fannish
couple? Or picture how Malcolm Renolds might dispense his opinion if
writing to a lonely computer jock? Want to show everyone how
hilariously witty you can be while playing with these characters?

One of many things that I'd like to do this year with the
Publications division is have pre-written content available for the
Newsletter. Therefore, I propose a contest.

I want to run an advice column in each newsletter (Friday, Saturday,
Sunday, Monday) that's funny and fannish and geeky and stuff. I
invite the staff community to write said columns, both the questions
and answers. I (and possibly Tem and/or Jasra, if they're
interested) will determine which four are the awesomest (and
printable). Winners will get extra geek points and their writing
published in the newsletter. Plus possibly something extra from me,
for making me laugh. Nothing derogatory. Nothing boring. Nothing
that contains spoilers for Harry Potter 7 or Battlestar Galactica or
Heroes.

I'm particularly looking for use of characters from multiple genres
and media. Use Darth Vader in dialogue with Professor Xavier! Have
Honor Harrington write in to Inara! You can have an anonymous advice-
seeker, but I want an advice-giver I recognize. And I want it to be
funny.

500 words or less, including both question(s) and answer(s).

Email your submissions to me at chaiya at chaiyahuff.com. (Don't
bombard the list!) I'd prefer to have submissions earlier rather
than later. The final deadline is November 1st, because we're going
to use the final four columns to start the formatting of the newsletter.

Crystal
