I wouldn't recommend using the Dreamweaver templates when the pool of 
possible content editors is very large and some may prefer not to use the 
Contribute "republish" feature. I've seen too many cases where the 
template was damaged and the file could not be edited again until it was 
fixed with a raw text editor (not even Dreamweaver's source mode.) More 
details are available if people are interested. If everyone uses the 
Contribute features then the code probably remains "clean", but that is 
putting more requirements on everyone.

So instead of asking a subset of the content editors to use another 
browser to do their work, you are asking *everyone* to install software 
and use a special client? And as Dave mentioned, you are now exculding 
Linux users.
