 It was proposed by the Blood Drive organizer to make it possible to
increase the opportunity to participate for all kinds of potential donors,
whether they can't donate on Saturday for religious reasons or scheduling
reasons.

It would, if that's the only way to save it.  If you could save the
same life by donating Monday (albeit less conveniently), you don't
_need_ to break the rule to save it.
