[ST] [SA] New A '09 Con Comm Meetings Schedule

Hi,

Based on the way things are going, ie quickly, I've decided to remove  
the "Organization Structure" agenda item from the April meeting and  
move up both Budgeting and Space Allocation to more appropriate dates.

Based on pre-meeting work for the Budgeting session which I plan to  
do, and the opportunity to work it through at the April con committee  
meeting, I hope to review and pass the convention budget at the May  
Corporate meeting.

Having the Space Planning meeting, now scheduled for May, at the  
Hyatt, will help us by being able to walk around the hotel and look at  
the places we are talking about.

There has been the suggestion of moving the date of the 29 June  
meeting.  I could do 22 June.  Feedback is requested.

Arisia 2009 Convention Committee Meeting Schedule as of 20 February 2008

As always, I reserve the right to change the basic agenda for any  
meeting and/or to supplement these simple thoughts into detailed  
agendas.  This is the current plan.

Sunday 2-Mar-07 2:00 PM MIT
	New/old ideas
     Discussion of each area of the convention, some old ideas may be  
brought back or tossed away, some new ideas may be discussed and  
assigned, at least for research.  Be ready to go through the entire  
org chart to discuss what we would like to do this coming year.

  Tuesday 22-Apr-08 7:30 PM Chez Wood
      Budgeting
     I will be doing an extensive review of the actual income and  
expenses from the past couple of Arisias, probably in February.  There  
may be proposals for changes to the rate structures when facts are  
available.  In this meeting I wish for people to have already fed in a  
bottoms-up plans for their areas that can be reviewed.  This may make  
the Arisia Corporate budget review meeting much less painful.  Also,  
it will give us a chance to find and fix any pending errors made early  
on.

      Space Planning
     There are a lot of new ideas percolating about how to use the  
Hyatt's space.  We will settle upon the fundamental space plan for  
next year so that people can go ahead with detailed planning.

	Party
     Although all meetings will have the opportunity for interpersonal  
and inter-area discussions, that and having a grand old time together  
are the core purpose of this meeting.

	Convention Flow
     It's conceivable that we'll do this meeting as a walk through  
where people take their roles in the convention and act out how their  
days will progress.

	Who are we missing?
     Arisia is "New England's largest and most diverse science fiction  
and fantasy convention."   Did we leave someone out who should be  
added?  Will doing that exceed the capacity of the convention in some  
way?

out what we should discuss.
