May I suggest we simply put an orange cone with a sign on it that says
"Reserved parking for Arisia Entertainment" on an appropriate spot first thing
Friday morning. And he just uses that to go in and out. And Arisia absorbs the
parking cost for that one vehicle. I don't think it's a grand idea to get a
volunteer drive involved, just from an insured driver standpoint.

Okay folks, more suggestions for this, please!

I made the suggestion that we use a Volunteer to do the shuttling of the van
from the hotel to the MIT Garage and back and that they can use the loading
dock area for the Ballroom Friday evening. It sounds like what Karl really
wants is a guaranteed space in the Hyatt Garage, when he's not parked at the
loading dock. I'm hoping we can get this worked out soon.

Samantha,
....

As for the parking the minivan, that solution is not going to work
out. That would mean tracking down the volunteer after the party to
go with Karl and get the van, then we load the van back up again, then
the volunteer has to drive behind the van back to the parking and
bring Karl back. Then if there was anything we needed from the van or
wanted to add to the van we'd have to do it all over again.

Also Karl is concerned about things being stolen out of the van since
it will be sitting in one place with no one around for so long.

I guess you will have to find a space, preferably on the same floor as
the ballroom, for 4 people to spread out the chicken wire and build
the mound of tribbles.

Bonnie
