There was also the late-night guy on duty from engineering on, when
was it, Thursday?  who took me down to the electrical supply room to
look around for the male-to-male CamLok connectors they happened to
have on-site that fixed our hookup problem to the lighting dimmers.
I think his name was John but I don't remember, although when we came
back up to the ballroom with these things I shouted around the room to
publicly congratulate him for saving our asses.

Said hookup devices were left near the 100-amp disconnect behind the
ballroom when we tore down, as was the remote "clicker" for the house
lighting [the rest of which, apparently, have been stolen over time by
other groups in the space].  I saw to this personally, and am saying it
here just so there's no later question about us returning these items
properly.  The hotel A/V guy even came through later and was told
where his remote was.
