[ST] [SA] Con Committee Meeting Schedule - A '09

Hi Again,

Here is the schedule for next year's Arisia Con Committee meetings.  I will
put this in the Arisia Calendar if I can figure out how in a few minutes.
Note that the Hyatt has committed to these dates.

As always, I reserve the right to change the basic agenda for any meeting
and/or to supplement these simple thoughts into detailed agendas.  This is
the initial plan.

 Sunday 27-Jan-08 2:00 PM MIT Debrief A '08
    Agenda sent a couple of days ago.  Please be on time.

 Sunday 2-Mar-07 2:00 PM MIT new/old ideas
    Discussion of each area of the convention, some old ideas may be brought
back or tossed away, some new ideas may be discussed and assigned, at least
for research.

 Tuesday 22-Apr-08 7:30 PM Chez Wood Organization structure
    I do plan to have already made most of the committee appointments before
this meeting.  This will likely either be a discussion of the boundaries
between Divisions, finding possible cracks to be filled, or I might change
this agenda item completely.

 Thursday 8-May-08 7:30 PM Hyatt Budgeting
    I will be doing an extensive review of the actual income and expenses
from the past couple of Arisias, probably in February.  There may be
proposals for changes to the rate structures when facts are available.  In
this meeting I wish for people to have already fed in a bottoms-up plans for
their areas that can be reviewed.  This may make the Arisia Corporate budget
review meeting much less painful.  Also, it will give us a chance to find
and fix any pending errors made early on.

 Sunday 29-Jun-08 2:00 PM MIT Space Planning
    There are a lot of new ideas percolating about how to use the Hyatt's
space.  We will settle upon the fundamental space plan for next year so that
people can go ahead with detailed planning.

 Sunday 20-Jul-08 2:00 PM Eastlakes' Party
    Although all meetings will have the opportunity for interpersonal and
inter-area discussions, that and having a grand old time together are the
core purpose of this meeting.

 Wednesday 17-Sep-08 7:30 PM Hyatt Convention Flow
    It's conceivable that we'll do this meeting as a walk through where
people take their roles in the convention and act out how their days will
progress.
    
 Tuesday 14-Oct-08 7:30 PM Chez Wood Who are we missing?
    Arisia is "New England's largest and most diverse science fiction and
fantasy convention."   Did we leave someone out who should be added?  Will
doing that exceed the capacity of the convention in some way?

 Sunday 14-Dec-08 2:00 PM MIT
 Sunday 4-Jan-09 2:00 PM Hyatt

These last three meetings will have their agendas added as we figure out
what we should discuss.
