Hi Everyone,

I've sorted out the most likely Divisions, every Area I can think of, and
put notes on each for anyone who has volunteered to be in those divisions or
areas so far.

There are four Staff of the Chair positions (Admin is open, GoH Liaison is
open, Timekeeper is Conor Walsh, and Treasurer is open (reports to Corporate
Treasurer).  

There are at least 9 likely Divisions.

There are at least 60 likely areas.

Now, I know there are a couple of hundred of you.  I'm about to give you my
"not telepathic" speech.

I am not telepathic, pre-cognitive, or omniscient.  And, although I know and
love many of you, I don't know (or necessarily love) all of you.  I am a
relatively mature person, and I will deal with all of you as though you are
also a relatively mature person.  That said -

Please be direct with me.  Tell me what you want to do.  I don't do guessing
games well.

I will be assigning Division Head positions first.

If you volunteer for an Area that will likely go into a Division, but that
Division Head is not in place, you will have to wait for your real
appointment.

I will not appoint people to Areas - their Division Head will.  I will take
note and I will discuss possibilities with the Division Head.  But, you will
be working most closely with them all year - it's their decision only to be
over-ridden by me, and before the actual appointment.

You cannot simply look at the (non-existent) organization chart and pick
your spot.  You are more than welcome AND INVITED to volunteer.  You will be
appointed or not at the discretion of myself and the Division Heads.

I will be making meeting appointments tomorrow after the debrief, for those
who want to talk face to face.  I like face to face.  There are 200 or so of
you.  Do the math.

Tomorrow we will complete Arisia '08.  Over the next few weeks Tem and
Donald will really complete Arisia '08.  That's tomorrow's goal.
