The Convention Treasurer helps create the convention budget, track expenditures, process expense reports, distribute funds, manage the collection of funds at the Con, and follow up after Con to make sure all expenses are paid.
The volunteer doesn't need to be a Massachusetts resident, and the estimated work time commitment of 250 hours is over approximately a one year period (June 2022 - June 2023). This will be roughly 5 hours a week on average.
Accounting or Bookkeeping experience is a plus but not a requirement. We have documentation and volunteers who've filled the role before to advise and answer questions.
