Artist Guest of Honor Announcement
We are thrilled to announce our first Artist Guest of Honor: Lori Del Genis (she/her) is an award-winning portrait artist who has been exhibiting at Arisia since 2014 (and prowled around the art show for years before that). She will be sharing the story of how being part of the Arisia art community helped her find her voice as an artist, and how that led to her current work as a commission-based portrait artist. Convention Updates
Convention planning is humming along as schedules are finalized, orders are placed, and checkboxes are ticked. In our December 12th Progress Report, we announced registration options for the Fast Track Clubhouse (ages 6-8+), an urgent call for volunteers, Registration and Innkeeper updates, and more. Also on December 12th, the Arisia Corporation announced that "the membership voted [on 12/9] to take a gap year from holding the convention for 2027, with plans to return in 2028." You can read the full announcement on Facebook, including details on what will happen during that gap year.
There is now an official Arisia Discord! While the unofficial Discord has been going strong for a while, there is now an official Arisia Discord to meet, chat with, and connect to your fellow Arisians. The Arisia Discord will be permanent and open year-round, so you'll be able to connect with other members of the community during the convention as well as all throughout the year.
